FAQs
No jargon, no runaround
Common questions, answered.
Levy, lock-in, contamination, bin sizes, reporting — the questions every site asks, answered plainly.
Who pays the waste levy?
You do, at cost — it's inside your price per lift rather than a separate line, and is never marked up. If the levy rate changes, that change flows through at cost.
Are we locked into a contract?
No long lock-in — agreements run month-to-month after a short initial term.
What happens if a bin is contaminated?
It’s flagged in your monthly report with a practical fix. Repeat contamination is discussed with you before anything is charged.
What’s in the monthly report?
Weights per stream, your diversion rate, contamination flags and recommendations — built from measured weights.
How does a quote work?
Tell us your streams, volumes and access — we come back with a recommendation and quote within one business day.
Which areas do you serve?
Auckland-wide — commercial, care and community sites.
Which bin sizes are available?
120 L to 3 m³ front-loaders for general waste; 240–1100 L for recycling; cages and bale-ready setups for cardboard.
Can I change collection frequency?
Yes — managed (sensor-triggered), scheduled or on-call, adjusted seasonally or after an overflow.
Can glass go in recycling?
No — broken crockery and glassware go in general waste. We don’t collect a separate glass stream.
Why are soft plastics excluded from recycling?
Film and soft plastics can’t be sorted with rigid containers and paper, so they go in general waste.
Can you securely destroy data-bearing devices?
Yes — arranged through a specialist partner, with a certificate where you need one for your records.
What happens if my volume drops?
We down-size the bin or reduce frequency — the report shows when.
